Jira Integration
The Jira integration allows Devici to create Jira tickets as the output of workflow tasks.
This enables teams to track threat modeling work directly in Jira alongside delivery and operational tasks.
What the Jira Integration Does
When enabled, the Jira integration allows:
- Workflow tasks to create Jira tickets
- Threat modeling actions to appear in Jira projects
- Teams to manage security-related work in existing Jira workflows
Jira tickets are created when a workflow is configured with Jira as its output destination.
Connecting Jira to Devici
To create Jira tickets from workflow tasks, you must first connect Jira to Devici.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Jira, ensure you have:
- Administrative access in Devici
- Access to the Jira instance you want to connect
- A Jira API token associated with the account that will own created tickets
- A Jira account email that matches the email address of the Devici user setting up the integration
Note
Devici does not currently support scoped Jira API tokens. The API token is used as provided by Jira.
Set Up the Jira Integration
To connect Jira to Devici:
- Open Settings in Devici.
- Navigate to App Integrations.
- Select Connect next to Jira.
-
Complete the integration form:
-
Jira domain
- Jira account owner email (must match your Devici user email)
-
Jira API token
-
Select Save.
Once saved, the Jira integration becomes available as an output option when creating workflows.
Using Jira with Workflows
After the integration is configured:
- Jira can be selected as the output destination when creating a workflow
- Each workflow task creates a corresponding Jira ticket
- Ticket lifecycle is managed in Jira
